The customer door may not be the service door
For a business on a larger site, explain which entrance is affected and where an authorized contact will meet. Include the suite or unit number. A front showroom, rear stockroom and shared access door may have different key arrangements and may not all be included in a single rekey request.
Keep mechanical and electronic access distinct
If a staff key was lost, identify every door it can operate. If a badge or keypad is involved, tell the building administrator as well. A mechanical cylinder change does not necessarily change an electronic credential, and supported work should be confirmed before a visit is arranged.
Vehicle details at a large property
Use the entrance, lot section and vehicle position in addition to the street address. Say whether the vehicle can be reached normally or whether access must be arranged with management. Then explain whether the keys are inside, a fob is damaged or no working keys remain.
Plan the work and the handover
Discuss availability and a suitable visit window around the site’s access arrangements. Ask what the estimate includes and who may approve a revised scope. At completion, test each affected key and door with the authorized contact and keep the invoice with the key-control record.
